  1. 1. Pg. 132 Johnny paints his face red. This shows that what he is about to do is dangerous.
    2. Pg. 135-138 "Paul Revere" this shows that Paul Revere is an important character who might have significance later on.
    3. Pg. 139 The Tories, the king's most loyal subjects, refuse to pay the penalty for the Boston Tea Party. This foreshadows that the colonies are beginning to unite against England, even those who were loyal.

  3. 1. All of the boys who dressed as Indians painted their faces red. Red means danger and what they were doing could be very dangerous.
    2. The word 'tea' was repeated 7 times from page 131-132. It was repeated so many times because it was building up to the big event, the Boston tea party.
    3. Rab was really excited and "alive" the night of the Boston tea party. I think this was foreshadowing because it might be showing how he will be later on in the book, not just his quiet, sensible self.

  7. 1: pg. 133, the leaders had white handkerchiefs and red string on their wrist. I think that this means that they are true but dangerousl another symbol was that there was a white light on the ships pg 135 I think it meant that the crew was down with what was happening !
2 : On of the things that was repeated many many many times was free on page 135 . I think it was meaning that they just wanted the freedom and it was important , the sole purpose for this action . Another page 131 griffin's wharf , it was said 5 times. I think this meant that griffin's wharf was important during the tea party.
3 : Page 130 Johnny was up early , and he was working !! Where before he would just sleep in all day and go for a swim . Another thing was pg 133 Johnny is taking orders for a change ! And last but not least pg 131 Johnny was rebelling his master !

Symbolism: pg. 133 the leaders wore a white handkerchief around the neck and a red string tied around their right wrist. Red- danger, white- pure
Repeated: Rabs personality and how it changes and how different his moods can be are mentioned a lot. Foreshadowing towards something that may happen to Rab.
Text rupture: Pg. 139 it says that the thirteen colonies are "united as never before" because of Boston's struggles. They were never interested in helping them before the 'Tea Party'.

    Jayden
Symbolism: Pg. 169, he described Madge as rosy, glowing, and beaming, so he is implying that she is beautiful, and very bright.
Repeated: On pages 147-155 Goblin is repeated seven times, so Goblin is really important to him, and doesn't want to give him away.
Text rupture: 147-150 Johnny is really worried and caring about Cilla, and how she now lives and works for the Lytes.

  12. A text rupture that I found was when Dove was on the ship. I think that is so random. Why would the author all of the sudden put in that Doveis the ship while there dumping the tea? It just can't not because it happens there has to be a reason. I think that something is going to happen with Dove. It refers back to when Johnny was saying how he wanted to kill dove.
A repeated detailing always see is when Johnny always talks about his feelings for Cilla. I think he may have a little crush.
For symbolism I did how Johnny always talks about Miss Lavina's hair. How it's black. She must have a lot of power. Whatever she wants she gets.

    4. What a creeper ^.^

      Delete
  13. Symbolism: It said the ships were lying there like dead birds. I think this shows how no ships were allowed to leave and how none could come in, and the ships stayed there and didn't moved. (page 146)
Another one said that Lavina looked like she was something cut out of stone. This means that she was so still and didn't moved and just watched Isahhanah. (page 149)

Repeated Words and Details: one repeated word is "tea". On page 131-132 it's says tea seven times. And this is important because this starts the war, the Boston tea party.
On page 133 it says Sam Adams five times. And it talks about him because his brother is in hiding and he can't get involved because he will have to go into hiding too.

Text Rupture: On page 131 it talks about how they voted to disobey when threw the tea into the water. This is foreshadowing the revolution.
Mr. Tweedie wants to marry Cilla which is weird because he has never really had an interest in girls and getting married. Page 148

  14. 1.Pg 164 Suddenly Johnny saw red, it means as it is said that he hates Mrs.Lyte and was angry at her.
2.Mrs.Lyte is mentioned many time I think it's because something is going to happen involving the Lytes.
3.Pg 156-157 Johnny helps Dove, like it said Johnny couldn't do anything but help Dove. I think it's foreshadowing because maybe since he helped him Dove will help him back later on in the story.

      Abby Moore 5th period.

  15. Symbolism: On page 153 it talks about Colonel Smith's RED face which symbolizes danger.
On page 135 all the people who are going to help rebel BLACKEN their faces. They are trying to show that they will get revenge because they have power. Also, it might show that they are going into something bigger then just throwing all the tea into the ocean because black also means death so by blackening their faces it could show that it's not the end.

Repeated details: They repeat the word tea 7x between pages 131 & 132, it is a leader to the Boston Tea Party.
Also, on page 133 & 134 they say the name Sam Adams 6x, it shows how much he means to this revolution.

Text ruptures: Johnny decides to listen to Rab instead of trying to be in charge on page 133 & 134
Boston decides to rebel by throwing all the tea into water which is a big no no! It takes place on page 136.

    SYMBOLISM
Pg.148 Johnny remembered about that young "leather" dresser of fish street, then leading to him as a bigger idea then just some random kid on the street.

    REPEATED DETAILS
    Pg.149-153
Johnny and Cilla were talking about the Lyte residence lot more than usual, which then makes me think that it's gonna give the area a big role later on, possibly for some kind of lecture.

    TEXT RUPTURES
Pg.152 Johnny was really confused, and stopped hating Dove for some weird atrocious reason. He also tried to tell himself that he hated Dove, which is really different then something the old Johnny would do.

Cilla was mentioned 7 times on pg. 149-150. It means shes going to be important.
    3. Dove was a part of the tea party, and volunteered to be in it. It wasn't like his usual self. He's usually very quite and hidden.

  19. Symbolism: P.146 Cilla wore a lavendar dress when she went to visit Johnny at the Observer. Lavendar is a type of purple so I concluded that Cilla had somehow come in contact with someone who was royal in some way, and later on in the book we read that she is now working for the Lytes.
Repeated Details:P.149-151 It kept repeating things about Rab and Cilla being together. This means they might end up falling in love with each other.
Text Ruptures:P.151 Dove becomes Colonel Smith's new horse boy because Mr.Tweedie fired him.

  20. Symbolism: blackened faces means they have power page 135, Cilla wore her purple dress means she was working for royalty page 146. Smith's face was red and that means he is dangerous.

Repeated details:they have the word tea written a lot though out the beginning part of the chapter, and they also talked about Cilla and rab begging together and Cilla wasn't as interested in Johnny that much a lot during the chapter

Text ruptures: mr. Tweedie wants to marry Cilla because docas ran off and got married to someone else,
Mr. Tweedie is willing to wait to get married and he is 40 years of age, Johnny takes a new job

  21. 1. Pg. 149 Isannah hair was just washed with the sun shining on it. This could mean that she's happy and full of caution.

    2. Pg. 148 Mr. Tweedie going to marry one of the Lampham's daughter's. Also it repeated the word
    "tea" through pg. 134-137.

    3. I thought that when Colonel Smith found a new horse boy and it was Dove that this was foreshadowing because later it might create problem's between them. Pg. 151.
